Google Dance or is it crap?

I was just checking my blog statistics and clicked a few Google search links from with the stats. Accidentally, I clicked the same search phrase twice. I was about to close the duplicate tab after seeing the first tab, that I noticed the two of them weren't exactly the same. So I went on to see them in details. Apparently it was just a switch of two of the search results in the two pages. Have a look at these two screenshots I took.

    
I first thought that it was an effect of a change in PageRank combined with Google Dance. But then saw the number of results in the top-right side of the page. It was showing 5,250 in the first page and 14,500 in the second. Oooh! So this isn't just what I thought.

Google does not necessarily show the best results these days. This is something Mr. Cutts should seriously think about.

One of my directory site was banned by google few month ago and the status still remain as banned after several attempts. How on earth they could ban sites without informing the possible reasons??
